To help close that attainment gap so that adopted children received the support they need, an additional twenty million pounds was allocated. This funding, which estimates to be just under two grand per child, is expected to dramatically help.

Additionally, the Adoption Register will be opened this September to allow approved people the ability to search children available for adoption. This open register is expected to help improve the number of adoptions across the country and assist with the growing number of children being placed into adoption each year.
